Fortnite is a free – to – play battle royale game. People all around the world play this game. Mostly everyone in the U.S knows about this game and players of all ages compete. As a 15 year old, I feel you need to be skilled to play this game. At first, I didn’t really know about his game until my friends got me into it. Before the release of Fortnite, there was another battle royale game called Playerunknown’s Battleground also known as “PUBG”.

This was the first, official battle royale game. Not many people really liked this game because it had terrible graphics, and the game wasn’t worth $30. After the release of Fortnite though, the majority of gamers including me forgot about PUBG, as Fortnite became the most famous battle royale game and was the most played game last year in 2018. PUBG was losing their numbers in the gaming category because people were abandoning it for Fortnite. At one point, PUBG wanted to sue Fortnite for using battle royale, but the I believe the true motivation behind this was because PUBG was frustrated by its inferiority. According to research by Michael Mcwhertor, “PUBG Corp. went after Epic in May calling the lawsuit “a measure to protect their copyrights.” In 2017, the studio behind PUBG expressed concern that Fortnite may be replicating the experience for which PUBG is known and hinted at taking legal action.”

Fortnite’s superiority is best explained in numbers. According to research by Danielle Partis, Fortnite has “surpassed 40 million downloads as of January 2018. That’s a sizeable 10 million more than PUBG, which sits behind a paywall as a premium title.” Everyday more and more people are starting to download this game.

Ultimately, I have seen PUBG graphics, and they are glitchy and your game lags out. Some streamers also say that the screen freezes in the middle of battle and that the game just doesn’t work after that. Fortnite surpasses PUBG in graphics by miles. Basically, gamers are choosing Fortnite because its graphics and interface and superior, which means it delivers a far better overall in gaming experience.
